    Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH) gives active service members two options for housing; living on base or finding a home off-base within the community.

    The Housing Management Office will be your first point of contact once you have orders to move, and will provide such services as: counseling and guidance before entering into a lease agreement, housing referrals, and resolving tenant-landlord disputes.

    F.E. Warren AFB On Base Housing

    • The Unaccompanied Housing Office (307) 773-2642 is reserved for airmen in the ranks of E1-E4 with less than 3 years of service. 

    • On-base housing for F.E. Warren AFB is privatized. Contact Balfour Beatty Communities (307) 432-0200 to check available housing for your rank and family size. There are 2-5 bedroom single family and duplex style units for over 3,000 base residents in 6 different neighborhoods. The areas of Carlin Heights and Atlas offer attached garages, while Historic Officer Bricks and Historic Sergeant's Row have gas fireplaces and either attached or detached garages. Capehart/MCP is near the family picnic area. Lake and Peacekeeper Heights have porches and ceiling fans.

    Surrounding Areas
    Cheyenne, Wyoming, is the closest major city to FE Warren AFB. It is a small city in the southeast corner of Wyoming, with about 60,000 people, and is in Laramie County. Other nearby small communities include Ranchettes, Fox-Farm College, and South Greeley. It is about 8 minutes from downtown Cheyenne to Warren. The cities near F.E. Warren AFB are: Cheyenne, Burns, Carpenter, Pine Bluffs, Ranchettes, South Greely, Chugwater and Wellington.

    Francis E. Warren Air Force Base is home to the 90th Missile Wing, which operates intercontinental ballistic missiles in Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado. Francis E. Warren AFB is the largest missile facility in the United States. Additional units assigned to the base include the 153rd Command and Control Squadron, and the Twentieth Air Force Headquarters. The base covers over five square miles and was originally a US Army fort, Fort Warren.
